Hayward Lions Construct New Storage Shed

During the fall of 2012, the Hayward Lions Club built a storage shed for the Galaxie Apartments in Hayward, WI. The shed will be used primarily for the storage of bicycles by the residents of the Galaxie Apartments. The shed is 12 ft. by 16 ft. and the exterior is rough sawed cedar. The Hayward Lions Club split the cost of materials with the organization Trivent Financial for Lutherans. The Lions Club was assisted during the construction by Northwest Oasis of Hayward. The residents of the Galaxie Apartments appreciate the fact they no longer need to leave their bicycles out in the weather — and their bicycles are not nearly as likely to be stolen. After construction was completed on the shed, some of the residents stained the exterior.

Dick Grundstrom was the engineer for the project. Other Hayward Lions helping with the project were: Ray Moeller, Bill Moebs, Tom Mansfield, Bill Weldon, John Moreland and Mark Simono.
